17 Months Old With Some BIG Hair!

She was born in Texas, of course she LOVES big hair!:)

Our sweet baby girl Aliya turned 17 months yesterday, I still can't believe it! Why does time have to go by so fast.

Last weekend I went to visit my friend Jenna who just had a precious baby boy named Joey. He is the cutest little thing. While holding him I realized that I could hardly remember my babies that small.

I can't even continue thinking about it because it makes me want to have another baby. Well, kind of!

She is talking so much now. Some words that she can say are.
mom, mom-moe (my 3 kiddos think calling me that is so funny), mommy, daddy, Nana, baybe (baby), hi-yee (hi), bye, hot, get down, I see you, Noah, all done, ball, eyes, nose, mouth, SHOES (she is obsessed with shoes), light, butterfly, ow (she says it at the appropriate time, when something hurts her), ewww, cup, yay, book, cheese, flower, banana.

That's all I can remember right now, there might be a few others. She is doing really good.

Every animal she sees, she barks at, "ruh-ruh" is what she says. She will be looking out the back window and I'll hear her bark, "ruh-ruh" and I'll know somethings out there, whether it's a cat or squirrel. It's actually really funny to us!:)

Her nicknames have changed some. Lately we have been calling her
lee, lee-lee or prin (as in princess).

Aliya is such a daddy's girl! She loves to just lay her head on his shoulder and have him walk around the house with her. Shes always crawling up on his lap and hugging him. When he gets home from work and she hears the garage door opening she squeals "daddy!" and books it to the door!

She loves her brothers, especially Noah. She actually loves to hug him but not always Joshy because he picks on her sometimes, Ha! She does love to play with Joshua though. he knows how to make her laugh.

When Noah is watching a movie a lot of times Aliya will crawl up on the couch and pet his head. it's so sweet!

Aliya is fond of her brothers toys. She likes to put on Noah's police hat and wear it around the house while pushing Joshua police cars. She will sit and play batman figurines with the boys too. She lets the boys tie a blanket cape around her neck so they can all run around the living room together. The boys get a kick out of it and call her batgirl. I keep saying that we have got to get her a doll house!!

Her blue baby pooh bear (much to my dismay) is her baby. Every morning and night when I lay her down or pick her up out of the crib she hugs him and says "Ohhhh baybeeee" real exaggerated-I love it!!

She has just begun to show interest in the kitchen, so I have been letting her help me here and there. Mostly she just likes to watch, play with spoons and Rubbermaid's, stick her little fingers in everything and taste test.

She is the apple of all of our eyes!

I'll leave you with some pictures of our little Prin.

Today I decided to play with her hair. She sat still pretty well until the last two rubber bands were in. She is the sweetest little thing. Her hair is still very curly. Beautiful big curls in the back mostly and then wavy on top.

What an absolutely gorgeous girl! That big hair doesn't make her look like a "Yankee" :) She belongs in Texas!
